Hi, I'm Aimee from
The Elephant of Surprise. I blog holiday, home decor, kid crafts, and recipe ideas--basically anything creative that I can squeeze in the time for. I'm so happy to be here on Le Made Design today! Since Lauren is the queen of cards, I thought it would be fun to share an easy Valentine card tutorial today.
This card is as easy as can be, but I think it turns out so pretty. And with the doily design it is just perfect for Valentine's Day.
All you need to make this card is watercolor paper, or thick card stock, watercolors (even simple Crayolas), paper doilies, a paint brush, and water.
Place your doily on your paper and watercolor away! Tips: less water = more vibrant color. More water = lighter color. Don't use too much water or it will get too runny and you won't be able to see the pattern of the doily when you take it off. I also like to paint a little right outside the border of the doily.
That's it! Let it dry, and then fold into a card.
If you like, you can add words or something like I did here.
Thanks so much for reading, and thanks for having me Lauren!
